Done with copic markers.

The idea and sketch was done weeks ago, a few days after Chinese New Year actually.
I seldom draw something oriental, aside from Tomoshibi and so in the original sketch, this girl was wearing cheongsam.
But it's kinda plain in my opinion since I like to make things more complicated than needed (blame my personality), this got pended for some time.
Then I decided to re-sketch and finish this yesterday :dance:

Maybe many of you (or maybe all of you) won't share the same idea, but the theme is actually Alice in Wonderland oriental version. Let's just say Alice got lost on finding her way home =p
For Ali Project fans, yes, the background is inspired by Ali's original album, Dilettante :) (alipro banzaiii)

p.s.: Alice looks like she's looking for something, what is it?

Oh, that's very wonderfull! I love her colorful dress and the way you mixed different patterns which normally would clash. The detailed background is fantastic and you are very good with water colors!

I adore all the rich reds and golds in this, and I love Alice in Wonderland, so I think this is especially amazing. ^ ^

Your right, I think it look like Alice in Wonderland too. Theres some magical feel, I love it! =W=
The colouring and shading it perfect, the skirt and the light! *_* Do you use a white marker or ink to draw the highlights?
