GDL©2008 Done in Copic markers. Secret Santa Gift for  from an SS event held by  Enma Ai from Jigoku Shoujo. For this SS, I had originally planned to draw her OC, April, but after rethinking, I was afraid I couldn't stick to the color code if I revamp her into my drawing style  And so I chose to draw Enma Ai instead. I've been following the series since the 1st season till now, but this is my first fanart of her. I wanted to experiment a bit and toned down my usual coloring to achieve a Japanese retro(?) style that can be found in many of Jigoku Shoujo illustrations. Unfortunately my copics started to run out in the midst of coloring...thus I couldn't get the gradation more neatly  I personally like this one since it's pretty different from my usual style and allowed to practice on outlining. Anyway, Merry Christmas~!! |
